The 6 Pillars of Balance

A practical framework for living well with chronic Lyme

The Balancing Life & Lyme program is built around six core pillars that support emotional stability, daily functioning, and long-term healing. Rather than focusing on “fixing” your body, these pillars help you create the internal and external conditions your body needs to heal. Each pillar is woven throughout the program with gentle guidance, practical tools, and real-life application.

Managing Your Emotions

Learn how to calm emotional overwhelm, reduce anxiety spirals, and respond to stress with more steadiness and self-compassion. This pillar focuses on emotional regulation, nervous system safety, and learning to work with your emotions instead of fighting them.

Simplifying Your Life

Chronic illness makes complexity exhausting. This pillar helps you reduce mental and physical overload by simplifying routines, decisions, and expectations — so daily life feels more manageable and less draining.

Communicating Your Needs

Advocating for yourself can feel hard — especially when you’re tired or not feeling well. You’ll learn how to clearly and confidently communicate your needs with doctors, family members, and others, without guilt or overexplaining.

Fostering Connections

Lyme changes the way you see yourself and the way you connect with others. This pillar focuses on reconnecting with your true self and rebuilding safe, supportive relationships — even after isolation.

Finding Joy and Meaning

Healing isn’t just about symptom reduction. This pillar helps you reconnect with meaning, purpose, and small sources of joy — even during difficult seasons — so your life doesn’t feel defined by illness alone.

Managing Your Health

Learn how to organize, track, and engage with your medical care in a way that feels grounded and empowering — not chaotic. This includes creating a comprehensive healing plan, managing flares, and learning to make health decisions without constant stress.

Enrollment is limited to keep the group small and supportive.

You don’t have to master all six pillars at once. This program helps you build balance slowly, sustainably, and in a way that fits your energy and your life.

This Program Is For You If...

You can add more detail in this subtitle

You’re overwhelmed by the emotional and daily-life impact of Lyme.

You want structure, support, and a clear plan that isn’t just “one more protocol.”

You want to reclaim your energy in a sustainable, nervous-system-friendly way.

You want practical tools that actually fit into life with chronic illness.

You’re open to gentle, realistic changes — not perfection.

You want a space where you feel seen, supported, and understood.

This isn’t “one more protocol.”

It’s a supportive, step-by-step framework that helps you regulate your nervous system, simplify your daily life, communicate your needs, manage stress, and create a lifestyle that supports real healing.

Using the 6 Pillars of Balance, you’ll learn how to calm emotional chaos, stay grounded during flares, and build sustainable routines that help your body feel safe enough to heal.

What You'll Walk Away With

By the end of this program, you won’t have a “perfect routine” or a symptom-free life — but you WILL have something far more valuable:

  • A steadier nervous system and the ability to calm emotional overwhelm when stress or symptoms flare

  • More confidence in how you manage your energy and daily life, so you’re not constantly reacting or second-guessing yourself

  • Clear, realistic ways to pace yourself without guilt or the pressure to keep pushing

  • Tools for navigating flares, setbacks, and uncertainty that help you stay grounded instead of spiraling

  • Greater clarity and self-trust in conversations with doctors, loved ones, and yourself

  • A felt sense of support and connection, knowing you’re not doing this alone

  • Skills you can return to long after the program ends, even as your health changes

This program isn’t about doing more — it’s about helping your system feel safe enough to heal.

Chelsea's Transformation

"You have been more than a therapeutic resource for me – you’ve given me an outlet to vent, storytell, and, most importantly, someone who has provided the empathy that I have thirsted for.

You have helped me find my inner resources and apply them when and where they were needed. You have helped me find my strength when I am managing the stressors that used to overwhelm me.

I first came to you with the issue of catastrophizing, not to mention panic attacks and other manifestations of my anxiety. You encouraged me and challenged me at the right times and I still hear your voice when faced with stressors that would have paralyzed me just a few years ago.

While I'm sad about losing friends and family during my chronic illness journey, I've learned to accept the dynamic even if I don't fully understand it. You were a tremendous help to me with that. I used to be completely flummoxed by the responses (or lack thereof) from others but now I realize that I don't have to understand it. I just need to adjust my view of the world and keep moving on.

I have, with your help, learned to better manage what my life has become. Most of the time, I genuinely believe that I'm more at peace.

There is absolutely no question in my mind that you added time to my life and that made a big difference in the quality of that time. I will never be able to thank you enough for that."

FAQs

Is this coaching or therapy?

This is a coaching program — not therapy. Coaching focuses on practical tools, emotional resilience, daily-life strategies, and helping you make sustainable changes. It is not a replacement for mental health treatment, though many clients find it deeply therapeutic and supportive alongside their medical or therapy care.

Will you give medical advice?

No. I don’t diagnose, treat, or prescribe. I help you organize, understand, and navigate your medical treatment more effectively by reducing overwhelm, clarifying next steps, and supporting the emotional and lifestyle side of healing.

What if my energy is low and I can’t always show up live?

You’re not expected to have perfect attendance — this program was built for real-life energy fluctuations.
All calls are recorded, and you’ll have lifetime access to the course so you can move through the program at your own pace, even on low-energy days.

Do you work with people outside the U.S.?

Yes! The program is available internationally. The only limitation is that all sessions and communication happen in English. Calls take place on Eastern Standard Time.

What if I’m not sure I’m “sick enough” or “well enough” for this?

This is for women at any stage of the chronic Lyme journey — newly diagnosed, years in, or in remission but still struggling with the emotional and lifestyle impact of Lyme.
You don’t need to be at a certain place in your healing to benefit.

How much time do I need to commit each week?

Calls last 1 hour and are recorded, and most of the modules are 10-15 minutes. Most women spend an additional 15-30 minutes per day implementing simple action steps.
But you’re encouraged to go at the pace your body allows.

What if I’ve tried everything and nothing has worked?

Most of my clients come to me feeling discouraged or stuck.
This program isn’t another protocol — it’s a new approach to your mind, habits, patterns, and daily life.
That’s why women often experience relief and clarity even if treatments haven’t helped enough.

What if I miss a call or start late?

No problem. All sessions are recorded, and you’ll have unlimited access to all materials. You’ll never lose out or have to “restart.”

Can this replace therapy?

No — and it isn’t meant to.
Coaching focuses on skill-building, mindset support, emotional regulation tools, and navigating daily-life challenges with chronic illness.
Therapy addresses mental health diagnosis and clinical treatment.
Both can work beautifully together.

Do you offer refunds?

Due to the digital nature of the course and the small-group container, all purchases are final.
If you’re unsure whether this is the right fit, book a free Support & Clarity Call and we’ll talk it through together.

Will this work if I have other conditions besides Lyme?

Yes. Many clients have co-infections, mold illness, POTS, MCAS, Long COVID, fibromyalgia, or autoimmune issues. The tools support your whole life, not just Lyme.

What if I don’t like group settings?

This group is small, gentle, and highly supportive — no pressure to talk if you’re not feeling up to it. Many clients start out quiet and grow more comfortable over time.

Karen's Transformation

"Michelle is not only very sweet and a great coach, but she also has my back. This is more than I ever expected, and it has helped me to progress in her program, giving me relief when I am anxious. I have some difficulties with instructions and technology, so Michelle generously created a three-ring binder of the program with a DVD so I could stop feeling overcome and focus on balancing my life. She removed an obstacle for me that I could not do for myself, which was so kind and caring. She wants you to succeed. She is the best therapist I have ever counseled with and gets to the root of an issue in minutes with solutions that not only work for you but with a solution to bring about success and peace. After a number of slow months getting my momentum, I am celebrating success in areas I was stalled in. Being patient with myself and understanding how Lyme can be managed in such a way that actually enables me to do more, now that I am not “frozen” in procrastination. It has been a life changer, and it will be for you also!"
